Bushwa Private Game Lodge

We have to admit that when it comes to wekends away Game Lodges are not the first thing that comes to mind. What we like is the coast and the coast is what we like. Never the less when Annamarie invited us up to Bushwa to take some pics we just couldn't let the opportunity pass us by. So we jumped right out of our comfort zones and went with our minds open. What we found was a world of down to earth luxury - a brand new comfort zone we hadn't even imagined. In PJ we had a fantastic guide who was happy to get up at 4AM to go on a crazy dash to try and watch the sunrise. We were lucky enough to find the 'breakfast bar' - giraffes, eland, wildebeest and zebra, happy as you like, side by side, all munching on the yummy grass and leaves. For our sunset viewing pleasure the two resident rhino's willingly obliged and hoovered up the sweet short grass while the world went every colour from neon pink through purple through rust behind them. By the time we had to leave, the whole place felt like the perfect home from home. With other jobs calling us back to reality we reluctantly made our way back to the city. Definitely somewhere we want to spend a lot more time!
